Replace An Energy Line

Instructions

Lay the new fuel line next to the two old fuel lines, then cut through the new fuel line with a utility knife until there are two pieces of of the same lengths as the two old fuel lines.


7. Remove the hose clamps from the two old fuel lines and slide them onto the ends of the new fuel lines.


8. Connect the shorter fuel line to the fuel pump and to the fuel delivery system. The brackets are typically held in assign with either a screw or a bolt, and regulate once the fastener has been removed. Remove the fastener with either a flat-blade screwdriver or a wrench, depending on the type of fastener, then unlatched the bracket and remove the fuel edge.4. Disconnect the fuel lines from the fuel pump.


Slide the longer fuel line underneath the vehicle, then pull one end up to the fuel pump. Slide the hose onto the fitting of the fuel pump and tighten the clamp with a flat-blade screwdriver.


10. Climb underneath the vehicle and place the fuel line into each of the metal brackets which run along the length of the vehicle's frame, then tighten the brackets to the frame with either a flat-blade screwdriver or a wrench, depending on the type of fasteners used to secure the brackets in place.


11. Slide the free end of the fuel line onto the gas tank and tighten the hose clamp.
