Lexus 350 Features

Lexus introduced the RX 300, a small-sized Sport Assistance Vehicle (SUV), in 1998. Lexus added coded sensors to the key fobs of the door handles and embedded the same code into the special SmartAccess key. Touch sensors on the door handles detect the presence of the SmartAccess key even if it is still in the driver's pocket, unlocking the doors as soon as the driver touches the handle. The key also opens the trunk and starts the vehicle with the touch of a button--functions similar to those of standard remote entry systems.

Dual Zone Climate Control

The Lexus 350 includes a dual-zone climate control system that consists of two separate temperature control modules.

The business, which is one of the top manufacturers of luxury vehicles, sold another than 370,000 RX 300s--which combine the Rough drawing of a common SUV with interior and exterior upgrades--during its inceptive five senescence of Industry. In 2007, Lexus replaced the RX 300 with the RX 350, which is an enhanced replica with added customary and specialized features.

SmartAccess

The Lexus RX 350 includes SmallAccess, a deed that allows users to begin the vehicle, very as lock and unlock its doors and Timber with a coded remote entry.

Both the driver's and passenger's sides of the vehicle have heat and air control units located on the dashboard, allowing for individual temperature adjustments. This feature is convenient when a front-seat passenger desires a colder or warmer temperature than the driver.

Engine Immobilizer

The engine immobilizer, an anti-theft feature, upgrades the safety characteristics of the 350 with key recognition technology. The key fob has a transponder chip inside of it with a code that matches the immobilizer device inside the ignition. If a driver inserts the key into the ignition, the vehicle will only start if the codes match. The immobilizer works via remote entry sensors that detect the presence of a matching key code from a distance before it starts the engine.

Other Features

Lexus added a universal transceiver to the 350, which allows drivers to operate other compatible devices, such as garage door openers, gates or home lighting or security systems, from the vehicle. Electrochromic rearview mirrors use sensors to automatically detect and reduce glare by dimming the mirror's reflectivity. In addition, the audio system has Bluetooth technology, which makes it possible for a driver to integrate a compatible music player, such as an MP3, with audio controls.
