Remove A Lincoln subsequently Electric Window Motor

A stuck window with your Lincoln could be traced to any of many problems.2. Gently pull the door panel away from the door frame. Be careful not to damage any of the electrical connections that run to several points inside the door panel.


Instructions


1. Remove the screws holding the inside door panel to the door frame.

3. Disconnect all wires connected to the door panel by disconnecting the wire harnesses from their sockets. There will be a wire going to the window control switch and a wire going to the speaker. There might be additional wires connected for an alarm system or automatic locks. Set the panel aside.


4. Detach the wire harness from the power-window motor.


5. Unbolt the motor from the door frame and window regulator. Pull it away from the door to remove.


6. You now can work on the motor or install a new motor in the door. Be sure to securely bolt the motor back into place when reinstalling and to reconnect all electrical harnesses to the motor and the door panel. Reinstall the door panel, and fasten it in place with screws.
