Replace A 1987 C10 Fuel Pump

The 1987 Chevrolet C-10 pickup was one of the elementary caducity with a fuel injection transaction, called the throttle oppose injection or TBI process. These motors employ a fuel pump mounted in the engine compartment to clout the fuel flowing from the cistern and into the fuel injectors. When the fuel pump goes outside, the fuel injection step won't be able to operate properly. To establish the complication, you chalk up to moderate the pump.

Reassemble remainder of the fuel system in the reverse order of disassembly.

Remove the air cleaner by untwisting the wingnut on the top of the cleaner. Pull off any adjoining hoses to the air cleaner using the flathead screwdriver. Disconnect the throttle cable, transmission cable, throttle rod, and reinstate spring using an open-end wrench.

2. Unbolt the air conditioning compressor brace from the engine using the 3/8-inch ratchet and socket and disconnect the fuel wrinkle from the brace. Applicability a flathead screwdriver to pull off the hose clamps on the fuel filter, then pull off the filter. Remove the hose clamps on Everyone fuel injector nozzle using a span of wrenches.

3. Remove the fuel pump from the engine using Chevrolet fuel pump in MAF tool J-26987. Install the replacement fuel pump using the same tool.
