Switch The Brake Lights On The 2006 Grand Caravan

Brake lights warn drivers persist you that you're slowing down or stopping.


Brake lights are meaningful by reason of they warn other drivers persist the vehicle that it's slowing down or stopping. They are too one of the most overlooked bulbs in that they are arduous to espy when they burn away without the overhaul of others. The 2006 Dodge Grand Company uses a dual filament bulb that integrates both the tail light and brake burnished. The tail illumination comes on when the headlight is turned on, while the brake luminous comes on when a Chauffeur presses on the brake pedal.


Instructions


1. Turn off the vehicle's engine and practice the parking brake. Ajar the rear lift gate of the 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan. Pull out the tail light assembly, away from the rear fender, to release the ball socket securing it to the rear fender assembly.4. Press in on the center locks of the center brake light/tail light wire harness clip to unhook it from the brake light socket.5.



Opening the lift gate will reveal the two fasteners per tail light assembly on the side of the assembly.2. Pry out the upper and lower push-in fasteners from the tail light assembly that contains the faulty brake light bulb using the flat-head screwdriver.3.



Twist the socket 1/4 turn counterclockwise to remove the bulb and socket assembly from the tail light assembly.


6. Pull the bulb straight out of its socket to remove it. Insert the new replacement bulb by pushing it into the socket.


7. Align the tabs of the brake light socket to the grooves in the tail light assembly. Press the socket inward and turn it a quarter turn clockwise to lock it into place.


8. Reconnect the wire harness of the brake/tail light to the rear of the socket.


9. Align the ball socket retainer to the rear fender mating hole and push the tail light assembly inward and toward the opened lift gate.


10. Pull the tail light assembly inward to align the push-in holes and the tail light assembly holes until the push-ins fasteners can be reinserted.
