The guidance transaction on the Lexus IS250 requires stopping the vehicle and engaging the parking brake before you can access the controls. Disable this defence by slightly modifying the semanship development wiring at the end the pilotage unit.
Instructions
1. Settle the vehicle in "Lawns" and engage the emergency brake.
2. Grasp the forward gratuity of the silver trim to the left of the shifter; lift it up and back to disengage the clips and remove it. Repeat on the silver trim to the genuine of the shifter.
3. Grasp the shift stud firmly, and twist it counterclockwise. Unscrew the shift stud and remove it.
4. Free the ashtray door and grasp the front of the shifter plate. Pull upward to disengage the clips and remove it.
5. Remove the screws on Everyone side of the ashtray meeting using a Phillips screwdriver. Lift up the ashtray meeting to remove it.
6. Place the four, limited slits in the upper inner lip of the two air vents (two in Everyone vent) above the directing Shade. Involve a dwarf, flathead screwdriver into Everyone slit at a 45-degree angle. Pry downward to disengage the clips. Repeat on Everyone of the slits, and Proceeds all four clips.
8. Remove the four bolts securing the navigation unit using a 10 mm ratchet. Two bolts are directly below the top vents, below the vent covers. Two are below the stereo system controls above the ashtray assembly.
7. Incorporate a plastic scribe between the vent covers and the sprint. Pry elsewhere to remove the vent covers.
9. Pull the navigation unit forward until you can access the wiring behind the unit.
10. Cut the pink wire on the J50 connector -- the top connector nearest the driver side. Cut the white wire on the P1 connector -- the top connector nearest the passenger side. Cut approximately 1 1/2 inches of wire from the connectors on the back of the navigation unit.
11. Remove approximately 1/2 inch of wire insulation from the two cut wires. The wires are located on the back of the navigation unit's side and the vehicle's side.
12. Screw a wire nut onto the stripped portion of both wires from the navigation unit's side.
13. Connect the pink and white wires from the vehicle's side. Wrap the wires in electrical tape.
