The 1998 Chevrolet Camaro V-8 LS1 engine pushes gone approximately 305 horsepower. The inventory Camaro air intake brings air into the LS1 engine, creating combustion. Adding a blasting air induction intake Testament add approximately 14 additional horsepower. Instead of buying a prebuilt bloodless air intake, you can practise one yourself using products particular to the Camaro LS1 engine.
Instructions
1. Turn off the Camaro's engine and disconnect the contrary battery cable from the Camaro's battery.
2. Disconnect both electrical wire harnesses running into the two sensors on the inventory air intake.
3. Remove the tab that holds the radiator subsume onto the radiator. Benefit the flat-head screwdriver to remove the hose clamps on both ends of the inventory air intake hose.
4. Remove the two clips holding the insert onto the air box filter and remove the embrace. Remove the four bolts that occupation the air box filter to the fender wall using the ratchet.

Cover the Bulk air flow sensor from Operation 7 into the other side of the silicone hose and secure it with the hose clamp.
9. Insert the rubber grommet into the grommet hole in the Camaro air filter. Insert the air temperature sensor into the hole in the grommet.
Remove the Bulk air flow sensor from the inventory air intake by removing the hose clamps on both ends.8. Attach the silicone hose to the Camaro's throttle item and secure its hose clamp.
Attach the air filter's silicone hose to the open side of the mass air flow sensor and secure it by tightening the sensor's hose clamp.
12. Insert the top rubber mounting stud into the heat shield's accompanying flap and tighten the last Nylock nut.
13. Reconnect the two sensor's wire harnesses.
14. Reconnect the negative battery cable to the Camaro's battery and close the hood.
