Remote Start Install Problems

Problems can occur while installing a remote first step in a vehicle.

Provided the remote starter fails to activate the vehicle's engine, the remote receiver may be improperly connected. Confirmation the remote starter. If the light-emitting diode (LED) on the remote activates, the remote is functioning. Test the receiver attached to the vehicle to ensure the wiring is properly connected based on the manual's specifications.

A remote starter is a radio controlled mechanism installed in a vehicle to begin and chilling or preheat a vehicle remotely or from a distance. Remote inauguration installation problems can occur for many reasons.

Engine Won't Activate

Engine Cranks But Won't Start

If the vehicle engine cranks but fails to start, a factory-installed immobilizer system, which engages the engine via a computer chip embedded in the car key, may be to blame. Insert the key into the vehicle ignition lock and turn on the starter. If the vehicle engine then starts, you will need to purchase a transponder to bypass the immobilizer system.

LED Status Indicator Obstruction

If the LED status indicator, which mounts on the vehicle, is partially or fully obstructed, the signal may not reach the remote starter. Make sure the LED status indicator is clear of obstructions from the vehicle rear and sides to ensure a proper signal.
