Repair An Opening Inside A Vehicle's Gas Tank

4. Apply masking tape or duct tape to holes, seams or porous areas to stop any sealer from coming out. Use putty to seal the outlet ports.


5. Mix the 2 parts of the sealer together for at least 2 minutes, and then pour into the tank.


6. Use plastic wrap and a rubber band to seal the filler hole. Rotate the tank for a few minutes To admit the sealer to coat the inside. Remove the plastic wrap and pour out any remaining sealer allowing the tank to drain.
