3. Slide under the vehicle and set the yoke on the back of the transmission that is attached to the front of the operate shaft. Loosen and remove the u-joint cap bolts that secure the front drive shaft yoke to the transmission yoke with a ratchet and a socket.


4. Remove the u-joint caps and put them to the side. Pull back on the front coerce shaft yoke to beget interval for the front manage shaft u-joint to rainless the transmission yoke. Provided the front operate shaft yoke is stuck, adoption a labourer held sledgehammer to tap the front object of the propel shaft off of the transmission yoke. Place the u-joint of the front part of the drive shaft into the yoke on the back of the transmission. Place the u-joint straps onto the drive shaft yoke and screw the strap bolts into the yoke. Tighten the strap bolts down tight with the ratchet and socket. Torque the strap bolts down to 25 to 30 foot-pounds with a torque wrench and a socket.


8. Move to the rear part of the drive shaft and position the drive shaft yoke into the rear end yoke. Place the u-joint straps over the drive shaft yoke and the rear end yoke. Screw the strap bolts into the yoke and tighten down tight with the ratchet and socket. Torque the strap bolts down to 25 to 30 foot-pounds with the torque wrench and a socket.


9. Remove the wheel chocks and drive the vehicle around for about 10 minutes.


10. Park the vehicle and turn the engine off. Recheck the torque on the u-joint strap bolts to ensure that the bolts are still torqued to 25 to 30 foot-pounds.
