Take Away The Factory Radio From The 1994 Toyota 4runner

The stereos available in 1994 for the Toyota 4Runner aren't exact modern when compared to the inventory stereos of nowadays's cars and trucks. That doesn't tight-fisted that you can't modernize your older Motor lorry with newer parts, as aftermarket stereos can be installed simply with ethical a sporadic basic tools. Before you settle in the contemporary deck though, you gain to remove the dated one.


Instructions


1. Unscrew the lower sprint panel on the Chauffeur's side from the dashboard using the Phillips-head screwdriver and the 1/4-inch ratchet and socket. Pull the panel off the dashboard and let it hang from the engine pop cable. Pull off the knobs on the heating and cooling controls using your hands. Place the blade of the flathead screwdriver behind the heating and cooling control face panel and pry it off the dashboard. Unscrew the Phillips-head screw behind the heating and cooling face panel using the Phillips-head screwdriver.


Remove the three screws at the top of the glove box opening using a Phillips-head screwdriver. Pull the glove box and lower right side of the dashboard off the dash. Unplug the speaker harness if your truck has a right side speaker in the dash. Remove the Phillips-head screw in the top left corner of the glove box opening.


3. Remove the clips at the base of the center console, just underneath the center of the dash, using the flathead screwdriver. Then pull the pocket out from under the dashboard. Remove the two bolts on the passenger side of the sprint, even-handed below the glove box, using a Phillips-head screwdriver and a 1/4-inch ratchet and socket.2. Plain the glove box.


4. Pull the black trim panel around the ignition key hole off the dash using your hands. Then pull the panel around the stereo off the dashboard and away from the dash.


5. Unscrew the stereo from the dashboard using the Phillips-head screwdriver. Pull the stereo out of the dash and unplug the antenna lead and wiring harness. Then unscrew the stereo from the pocket using the Phillips-head screwdriver.
