Mazda Rx 7 Specifications

The Mazda RX-7 is a two-door sports motorcar offered from the early 1980s down the mid-1990s. The first turbo provided torque at low rpm levels, giving 10 pounds per square inch of boost from 1,800 rpm on until the engine revs reached 4,000 rpm, when the second turbocharger is activated to supply an additional 10 pounds per square inch of boost. The result of this engineering design was a smoother, more linear power band. Thee different models of the third-generation RX-7 were offered in the USA: a base touring model and two "R" models -- the R1 and R2, which offered stiffer suspensions and an exterior aerodynamics package.
