Adjust The Timing Inside A Kia Spectra

The Kia Spectra uses an ignition transaction without a distributor that requires no reconciliation under ordinary circumstances.1. Load the reprogramming software if by the parts manufacturer onto the machine. Connect the interface connection device to the machine and the to the OBD II connector under the steering turn.



Adding aftermarket performance parts or fuel boosting hardware method reprogramming the onboard pc or PCM. Adjusting the timing on a Kia Spectra requires appropriate tools and a sunny compassionate of engine mechanics.

Instructions

Turn the ignition to on without starting the Kia Spectra engine and shut off any accessories such as climate charge, the radio and lights.


2. Turn the interface connection device on and wait for the automatic connexion confirmation indication. Gallop the pc software and enter the information requested including engine cipher and vehicle identification number. The VIN is at the bottom of the windshield on the driver's side. The engine identification number or EIN is located on the driver's door information sticker.


3. Select the software version to upload and make any changes or adjustments desired. Start the data transfer and verify the progress bar appears on the computer screen.


4. Wait until the data transfer completed screen appears and turn the key to off. Remove the computer interface device from the OBD II connector and start the engine. Allow the engine to reach normal operating temperature before driving.
