Instructions


1. Remove the contravening battery cable from the terminal on the battery with a wrench. Establish the wire aside moulding certain that it cannot reimburse in contact with the battery while you are under the Motor lorry.


2. Stand the Jeep off the ground using a jack and bed it on a fix of jack stands. The studs are two different sizes and the connectors will also be different so it is easy to see which wire fits where. Tighten the nuts on the studs with a wrench.6.


3. Establish and remove the lower starter mounting bolt and remove it with a socket and ratchet. Locate the upper mounting bolt and remove it with a socket and ratchet while supporting the starter. Lower the starter from the engine compartment and set it aside for now.


4. Lift the new starter into place under the Jeep and slide it into the opening on the bell housing. Install the top mounting bolt hand tight for now. Install the lower mounting bolt by hand then tighten both bolts with a socket and ratchet.


5. Install the two wiring connectors on the studs on the rear of the starter followed by the retaining nuts. Establish the two wiring connections on the rear of the starter. The starter is located on the backside rear of the passenger side of the Engine. Remove the nuts with a wrench and slide the wires off the connectors.


Support the Jeep with a jack and remove the jack stands. Lower the Jeep to the ground and reinstall the negative battery cable onto the battery terminal.
