3. Slowly drill through the surface of the windshield glass until the bit reaches the depth of the crack. Place 10 droplets of curing resin into the hole. Allow resin to dry for at least two hours. Curing resin solidifies inside the depths of the cracks and eliminates evidence of current damage.


Drilling a maximum 1/8-inch into the glass is a safe depth to prevent additional splintering or cracking. Drilling creates a vacuous gap allowing residual air pressure to release.4.
