Use A Compact disc Player Inside A 2002 Tundra

Install a Disc Player in a 2002 Tundra


The sample factory-installed stereo in the 2002 Toyota Tundra is an AM/FM stereo with in-dash Disc player. Optional units contain a multi-disc Disc changer. Tundra owners who desire to upgrade their inventory stereo with an aftermarket Disc player can enlist the services of a machine audio adept or install a different Disc player themselves. Pay for the Toyota aftermarket stereo faceplate adapter or practice an installation collar included with the dissimilar deck.


Instructions


1. Grounds the Tundra and turn the engine off. Pull the hood Proceeds lever located under the Chauffeur's side dashboard. Action to the front of the vehicle.


2. Lift the Toyota's hood and loosen the bolt that secures the denial battery cable clamp to the absent battery terminal. Lift the battery cable out from the terminal and place it aside. Come back to the inside of the Motor lorry.


3. Grab the lower storage pocket at the backside column and pull it absent from the dashboard. Disconnect the electrical connexion to the cigarette lighter and fix the pocket aside.


4. Grasp the dash panel to the left of the stereo meeting and pull it elsewhere from the sprint. Permit the panel to rest approximately the steering line, honorable gone of your course as you moderate the stereo.


5. Grab the sprint panel even-handed below the stereo dock and pull it outside of the dashboard. Concession the wiring connections to the climate controls connected and sanction the panel to hang below the stereo dock.


6. Remove the two bolts that secure the stereo to the dash with a 10 mm socket and drive.


7. Pull the stereo from the dashboard and disconnect the stereo wiring and antenna cable from the rear panel of the stock stereo unit.


8. Connect the stereo wiring connectors to the leads of the wiring harness adapter.


9. Insert the aftermarket stereo faceplate into the stereo dock and feed the stereo wiring (with wiring harness adapter attached) and the antenna cable through the back of the faceplate adapter.


10.12. Slide the CD player into the faceplate adapter and push it into the dock until it snaps into place.13.



Plug the wiring harness adapter leads into the corresponding outlets on the rear panel of the new CD player.11. Plug the Toyota's FM antenna cable into the antenna input on the back of the new CD player.


Replace the two bolts at the bottom of the stereo dock with the 10 mm socket and drive.


14. Align the climate control panel against the dashboard at the bottom of the stereo assembly and press it firmly to snap it back into place.


15. Place the lower dash panel (containing the storage pocket) near the dashboard. Plug in the wiring connection for the cigarette lighter and press the panel against the dashboard to snap it back into place.


16. Align the dash panel to the left of the stereo dock against the dashboard and press against the left side of the panel to snap it into place. Return to the engine compartment.


17.Place the negative battery cable clamp back around the negative battery terminal post. Tighten the bolt on the clamp with the 10 mm wrench to secure the cable to the battery.


18. Close the Tundra's hood.
