Switch The Front Bumper Of The Grand Cherokee Laredo

Change the Front Bumper of a Grand Cherokee Laredo


4. Lift the front bumper off the vehicle, and set it out of the way.

You can save time and money by replacing the front bumper yourself.


Instructions


Remove the Front Bumper


1. Remove the three Phillips screws on the top of the Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo front bumper from the vehicle frame.


2. Detach the three snap-in fasteners on the bottom of the front bumper by prying the bottom of the bumper away from the vehicle frame gently with a slotted screwdriver.


3. Remove the three mid-section snap-in fasteners that secure the bumper to the vehicle frame by prying the fasteners away from the frame with the slotted screwdriver. The three fasteners are just below the grill on the top of the fascia.


The front bumper of the Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo uses the equivalent architecture as the Jeep Grand Cherokee and is secured by screws and plastic fasteners. The front bumper of the Laredo is a light-weight plastic fascia that fits over the vehicle frame. Removing and replacing the front bumper is a job that you can complete in about an hour.



5. Place the new front bumper in position on the Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo, and secure the top of the bumper with the three Phillips screws.


6. Connect the three mid-section snap-in fasteners on the new bumper to the vehicle frame just below the grill.


7. Attach the snap-in fasteners on the bottom of the new radiator to the Laredo vehicle frame.
