The 1964 model was the front Chevy Nova with an optional V8 engine.
The Regular Motors Trade-mark Chevrolet introduced the Nova in 1962 as its first off compact muscle machine. Chevrolet discontinued the Nova SS in 1976 however continued producing succeeding generations into the 1980s. The Nova became an economy van, losing its muscle van status until Industry ended completely in 1988.
Exterior
The 1964 Chevrolet Nova came four oppose styles --- the two-door sport coupe, the two-door sedan, the four-door sedan and the four-door estate car. All styles possessed a 110-inch wheelbase and were 69.9 inches Broad. The station wagon's length measured 187.6 inches, compared with 182.9 inches for the other models.
Other options included dual front seat belts, air conditioning, push-button radio, heavy-duty brakes, heavy-duty clutch, heavy-duty radiator, grille and bumper guards, rear positraction, powerglide transmission, power brakes and power steering. The station wagon offered additional options such as a power tailgate window and a luggage rack.
Options
The 1964 Nova offered many options. Cosmetic options included two-tone colouring, competency convertible top, tinted glass, a divided rear seat, clear sidewall tires, and unabridged or wire wheel covers.
