By 1973, the muscle automobile Period was over with the arrival of smaller and less all-powerful engines. The SS parcel was yet available on any Nova example by reason of it was no longer a mannequin of its own. The SS packet was enhanced approximately aesthetics than performance.
Significance
The 1973 Nova was the product of management regulations that reined in authority and leaned also toward safety. The third age of Nova started in 1972, and as a determination, 1973 Novas featured larger bumpers and larger rear-side windows. The Nova was available as a sedan, coupe or hatchback. The performance model had a four-speed manual transmission and 175 horsepower. The top speed was rated at 112 miles per hour, and it could go from zero to 60 in 9.4 seconds. The car still averaged around 10 miles per gallon of gas.
There were two V-8 engines available, which were 307 or 350 cubic inches. A six-cylinder, 250-cubic-inch engine could also be installed.
Performance
The strongest of the Novas for 1973 was the 350-cubic-inch coupe. The Rally Nova was no longer available, leaving the SS as the sole sports-related box.
