Modify the Cabin Air Filter in an Acura MDX 2001


Chop the plastic cross brace that is located directly latest the glove box, using the wire cutters. Shorten the plastic cross brace on Everyone edge and remove and discard the plastic cross brace. Now you will be able to get to the metal cross brace that is attached to the dash.


Instructions


1. Field the 2001 Honda Acura MDX and shut the engine off. Remove the colorless battery cable from the battery with an adjustable wrench. This Testament remove the faculty from the passenger side air bag.

7. Remove the front cover to the cabin air filter housing by unsnapping the front cover. Set the front cover on the driver's seat.


8. Pull the cabin air filter straight out of the cabin air filter housing with your hands. Slide the new cabin air filter into the housing and snap the front cover back in place over the front of the housing.


9. Slide the metal cross brace back in place and insert the bolts and screws. Tighten the bolts and screws with the 3/8-inch drive ratchet, 8mm socket and the Phillips-head screwdriver.


10. Slide the glove box assembly back into the glove box opening. Screw the two mounting bolts back into the glove box. Tighten the two mounting bolts with the 3/8-inch drive ratchet and the 8mm socket.


11. Screw the glove box stops back in place. Put the contents back into the glove box and close it.


12. Screw the negative battery cable back onto the negative battery post and tighten with the adjustable wrench.
