Replace Rear Auto Glass Yourself

Instructions


1. Remove any wires that are connected to your rear window defroster. This can take 12 to Day and night. Clean excess sealant from the glass and replace the window trim.


Lift the old window out of its groove. Remove all of the remaining urethane sealant from the groove using a razor blade.


3. Use a caulk gun to apply a thin line of urethane sealant around the inside edge of the window opening. Apply a thin line of sealant around the edges of the new window.


4. Set the new window into the groove within the window opening.


5. Allow the window to set and the urethane to harden. Remove the window trim and weatherstrip seal. Avail a razor blade to remove all of the ancient adhesive and urethane around the window.2.
